Lovely cosy cabin in the countryside
Posted by Rebecca on 2017-08-27 11:28:54

We really enjoyed our anniversary getaway in this lovely little cabin. The little garden, the toasty log burner, the fairy lights, the secret little areas, Jasper running up and down the secret paths ☺ Thanks for a lovely stay

Perfect few days away in the lodge of dreams!

Dawn and Tony were very welcoming hosts and checked up on us throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we need. The lodge was clean, beautifully decorated and was really well equipped! Myself, my boyfriend and our dog enjoyed peaceful evenings on the patio with a BBQ and a gorgeous mountainous view and took walks out the back through the gardens.
Couldn’t have asked for anymore, would definitely like to return again soon!

We had the most amazing weekend. The facilities and Lodge were perfect. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Left us both feeling super relaxed and very sorry to leave. Dawn and Tony were delightful hosts. We would love to visit again sometime.

Faultless Freedom

Where to start, after following the instructions sent to us by dawn (I recommend anyone planning on staying here prints off the directions like Dawn says) we found our way to paradise, the valley slopes towering above, it hits you straight away! We met Dawn at the gate and parked the car up. First though, we had to meet up to the expectations of the top dog in town, Jasper. After getting a good sniff he allowed us into his domain. Dawn , followed by jasper, led us to our place of rest for the next couple of days. Hidden away on the valley slopes the cabin soon revealed itself to us. Wow, what a place, so peaceful and wholesome, everything you required for the stay was there, though I must say you don’t feel like doing a lot when you get yourself settled in, apart from adding a couple of logs onto the fire every now and then and of course opening the door to greet Jasper if he felt like joining us, we were relaxing in the long lost peace and tranquility we needed, so hard to find in the modern day! The night sky was untouched by the background light of big cities, with the trees blowing slightly from time to time and the sound of the wood burner crackling inside, wouldn’t change anything about the gaff, the whole experience was spot on. The hosts, Dawn and Tony where everything you could want. They were there if we ever needed anything, like when we needed lemon juice for a fruit salad and they kindly gave us some, but they never bothered you, unless they were helping us. It was a pleasure to stay at the cabin and have such good company throughout the stay, we cant wait to get back there. Thank you again for the whole experience even better. Hope all is well, tell Jasper we asked about him, see you soon guys x

A fantastic, relaxing stay!

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at Wyldwoods Eco Retreat. We were greeted by Tony and Jasper the dog as soon as we arrived and shown to our cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen. We had our own private garden where we enjoyed the afternoon sun gazing across the valley. The chimenea kept us cosy and warm outside in the evening. Tony and Dawn were very welcoming and always happy to help with anything we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

Dawn and Tony are fabulous hosts – welcoming but leave you to it. The lodge is gorgeous and very toasty with the log burner (we survived easily at the end of October)! It is well equipped and we really enjoyed cooking outside on the terrace. A really relaxing weekend – thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here so much, even me with a broken foot managed to have a look at the beautiful scenery around- walm and cosy. Fire was amazing. Owners and there dog was fantastic. Hut was clean and tidy ready for guests. Only downfall is the fridge in the room did not work so it was Hooked up to a seperate fridge which made lots of noise. I would also like to have seen a little shop as the next shop is miles away.stocking drinks etc.. Other than that a amazing stay.
